Entry Fee:                              $7.00 for each competitor on entry form.

 

Order of Events:                   See schedule below.

 

Awards:                                 Medals will be presented to first through sixth place winners.  A plaque will be

                                                presented to boys’ and girls’ division champions.

 

Scoring:                                 12 places will be scored.

SEEDING PROCEDURES:

 

            AA – Division:

 

  1. All rules from the Federation rules book will apply.
  2. Each school is allowed one team per relay event.  You may list up to 8 swimmers per relay event.
  3. There are no more qualifying times.  Please enter your swimmers and performances into each event.  Remember you are only allowed 4 entries per individual event.
  4. The top 32 swimmers (4 heats) will compete in the 50 yd. and the 100 yd. Freestyle events.
  5. The top 24 swimmers (3 heats) will compete in all other individual swimming events.
  6. All seeding will be by time, coaches are responsible to make sure the times provided are correct.

 

AAA – Division

 

  1. All rules from the Federation rules book will apply.
  2. Each school is allowed one team per relay event.  You may list up to 8 swimmers per relay event.
  3. There are no more qualifying times.  Please enter your swimmers and performances into each event.  Remember you are only allowed 4 entries per individual event.
  4. Since there are only 5 boys’ schools, all 20 swimmers entered will compete in each individual event.  There will be 3 heats in each event.
  5. There are 8 girls’ schools, we will seed 4 heats (all 32 swimmers entered) in the 50 yd. and 100 yd. Freestyle events.  In all other girls’ individual swimming events, we will seed the top 24 swimmers (3 heats).
  6. All seeding will be by time, coaches are responsible to make sure the times provided are correct.

 

VERIFYING TIMES:  Coaches are required to provide proof of their swimmers’ individual and relay times if challenged by another coach.  Meet results are to be mailed weekly to Tim Honeywell, Athletic Director, Berwick High School, 1100 Fowler Avenue, Berwick, PA 18603.

 

Remember, when a pool does not have Automatic Timing, only the first place time can be used for seeding purposes.  All times recorded by the automatic timer are to be recorded on the score sheet.  Results will not be accepted at the coaches’ meeting for meets conducted before February 12, 2009.  Those results should have been postmarked by February 12, 2009, and mailed to Mr. Honeywell.  Only results from meets conducted after February 12, 2009 will be accepted at the coaches’ meeting.

 

 

DIVING STANDARDS:

 

All diving programs will be completed online.  Instructions are included.

 

All rules from the Federation rules book will apply.  The additional requirements are:

 

  1. For the 6 optional dives, girls must have a total degree of difficulty of at least 10.0; boys degree of difficulty must be at least 10.5.

 

  1. All dives listed on the diving entry must have been performed during the season and awarded a final average score of 4.5 or higher in any given meet.

 

  1. At the seeding meeting dives may be challenged.  Coaches should have all of their diving score sheets (signed by referee) in their possession to answer challenges.  If you cannot prove the dive was performed to an average of 4.5 or higher, the dive must be changed.
